I’ve Been Where You Are

I spent 30 years in the world of education…leading schools, mentoring teachers, and developing teams that made lasting impact. But I also remember the long nights, the self-doubt, the feeling of carrying more than my share. I know how it feels to be passionate about your students and still question whether you’re making a difference.

Cheri Dixon is a 30-year educator, transformational speaker, TEDx presenter, and international best-selling author. A lifelong learner and leadership mentor, she brings heart, hustle, and hard-earned wisdom to every conversation and collaboration. With degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Administration—and advanced training from Harvard and Lamar University—Cheri has led everything from dual-language program development to district-wide turnaround initiatives. Her mantra? If it’s not good enough for my child, it’s not good enough for yours.

Cheri started EmpowerED to give educators the kind of support, coaching, and real-talk development they deserve—because when teachers and leaders are empowered, students succeed.
